A night to remember

It is one of those really, really rare days where the media house doesn't look like one. In a place which buzzes uncontrollably with activity, a relaxed mood seems to have dawned. While I type this, a section of the office is busy playing dumbC's and mind you, the Ed is also much a part of it!!

As for me, I am loving this feeling of "all to myself" and I have stopped to look at my blog at such a slow pace that I haven't managed in the last so many months (There is a bonus post too!). Today, the rains beat down like crazy and the whole city of Bombay is flooded, traffic's stuck and I am sitting at office; I seriously don't give a damn to how I will go back to my hostel. I will reach late, may be 12 or 1, in the night. But who is bothered? I just love sitting like this..It has been so long..

It is 10:45 now, and my friend and I plan to go out for dinner and then get back home..God only knows if we would go back. But who cares, because, isn't this a new way of life? And if not anybody else, I am crazily in love, in love with this life!! :)

Updates: Ask for dinner, McDonald's, Domino's, Subway, Barista say they have nothing left!!!

Its probably the change, when people are always around u, and suddendly ur alone, we seem to get this new energy. It happens the other way too.

Sitting up through the night is always fun! Coupled with the rains and coffee (we still disagree there I know!!:)) nothing could be better.

Vijay, that's true, there seems to be a new energy though lack of sleep leaves you a little exhausted!!

Agnibarathi, there you keep coming back to coffee!! Oh btw, I enjoyed a mug of hot chocolate at Barista at 12 in the night! That was the only thing left..:)

Barista without coffee would be so laughable. :-) Oh ok, at 12 in the night nothing is laughable.

Rains are good for a day or maybe two. But getting rained-in for any longer than that is, well, horrendous. A drizzle now and then is good, not torrential rains. Aarghhh! Sometimes I hate this damp, dull weather. Especially when I am stuck working inside the office...

Barista? I believe the best companion to Hot chocolate there is Dark Temptation...especially at 12 in the night!

There is more and more "Mumbai" talks all around... Things are hopefully getting taken care of now.

Coming to the crux of your post, even I've been enjoying the taste of 'freedom in solitude' for 2 weeks now!! I loved that 'All to myself' :-)

I used to have that "all to myself" days... when it lasts a lil longer than expected, i tend to panic that theres something wrong somewhere..

Hi all,
It has been quite an experience here in bombay..while it seemed like the fury of the rains was over, it has started all over again...I just managed to land up in a browing centre, to get a glimpse of my blog!! :)

Anu said...

Mo, ask me for anything abt Bombay, am not going to tell you!!!

Prabha, true! It is a great feeling! :)

Vinesh, yes and no..Rain is one of the reasons; I myself don't know when it would get active again!

everything all right there?

hi biju,
Things are ok, better than what it was. But at times it pours heavily and then everything becomes normal again.
But as such, Bombay is back to life, more or less! :)
