What are you, but divine magic?
So suave, so dignified, so soothing, so elegant..
I close my eyes, open my arms wide,
I speak, I confess, you smile, you listen,
And,
In the gripping power of your silence,
You absorb my fears and my happiness
And caress me with a tender breeze
Filling me with a beautiful tranquility..
What are you, but divine magic?
So enthralling, so mesmerizing, so striking, so magnificent..
O' dear Sea, You are true bliss!
[dedicated to Marine drive, where I have spent some of the best moments of my life..:)]

Beautiful pic..:)
Hey magnificent!!!!!!!!
Guess what? You can safely remove the last two lines and the picture. Atleast as far as i am concerned. Before even the picture loaded, "And caress me with a tender breeze, Filling me with a beautiful tranquility" - when i read that, i was so sure it had to do with seas and oceans.
Dear Anon, I know who you are! Thank you! :) (glad you liked this pic that I have shown you atleast a dozen times!) :)..
Manoj, thank you for your comment! :)..glad that you could get the intent without the picture..but the pic is here for a different reason..it's one of the many snaps of Marine Drive that I had clicked on one of my evening visits there..:)
anu,
give a serious thought towards professional poetry writing...i am telling u, ur poems are a sure shot..get a copywright for these ones now itself...that was really remarkable..so beautifully worded, truly brilliant!

Amrita, ooh weeh..am sure I will bloat up in all that praise!! hehehe..thanks a lot! glad you liked this..:)
Adi, yeh, yeh!!
Anon, what's right?? :|
u deserve all that praise...no kidding! :)
Parvati, am glad someone can get exactly what am trying to portray! :)
Amrita, :)..thanks!
>>> You absorb my fears and my happiness
perfect !!!
but i used to think the... mesmerizing sound of the waves and the breeze hitting on the face is what doing the magic to me....
(just like ur marine drive experience, i would never forget the fullmoon (whole)night spent alone in the poori beach.... thnx for kindling the memories once again :-)
Yaathrigan, glad this post brought memories! Oh btw, have you been to Marine drive? There is a specific reason why I mention the gripping silence - the sea is really silent there! (for there aren't waves dashing against rocks!)
hmmm.. i'm yet to travel the western part of India... :-( seems that i'm getting a chance soon...
